URSULINE ACADEMY


The following St. Bernard Parish residents were among the Ursuline Academy students named to the honor roll:

"A" honor roll: second-grader Ashley Doan of Meraux.

"A-B" honor roll: second-grader Jayne Ginart of Meraux; and third-grader Madeline Michael of Arabi.

Conduct honor roll: third-grader Madeline Michael of Arabi; and sixth-grader Isabella DeForest of Chalmette.

DAVIES ELEMENTARY

The following Joseph Davies Elementary School students were named Terrific Kids for December:

Pre-Kindergarten: Emma Oliver, Breone Majors, Madison Spohn and Daryl Arabie Jr.

Kindergarten: Scott Truong, Brooke Morgan, Emma Nunez and Jaedon Williams.

First grade: Joshua Vassil, Sarah Borne, John Ferrand and Ivan Melerine.

Second grade: Payton Rodrigue, Abigale Licciardi, Rachelle Weathers and Erica Dinet.

Third grade: Joseph Vassil, Scott Gioia, Austin Gonzales and Alicia Hernandez.

Fourth grade: Devyn Gaudet, Brittney DeoGracias, Chloe Lopez, Kenny Nguyen and Alexi Barattini.

Fifth grade: Aleena Cheema, Thomas Mahe, Austin Savoie and Jose Ramos.

PROMPT SUCCOR

Our Lady of Prompt Succor School celebrated a "Black and Gold Day" Dec. 16 with a visit from Saints player Lynell Hamilton.

Hamilton, a rookie running back from San Diego State, spoke to the students about the importance of having a positive attitude and good character.

His visit was made possible through the Character Now program sponsored by First Bank and Trust and the New Orleans Saints . Under the program, Saints players travel each week to schools across the metropolitan area to encourage children to be the very best students possible.

W. SMITH ELEMENTARY

The following W. Smith Elementary School students were named Terrific Kids for December:

Kindergarten: Leroy Leonard, Gaven Battle and James Logan.

First grade: Smayell Hampton, DaJhanae Robinson and Jessica Lafontaine.

Second grade: Jarah Jacques, Brittney Edwards, Jaquanna Sylve and Khalil Leflore.

Third grade: Bridgett Hohensee, Donovan Ramsey and Antoinette Andrews.

Fourth grade: Erika Davis and Victoria Pesnell.

Fifth grade: Sabrina Brown.

BROTHER MARTIN

St. Bernard Parish resident Matthew Robin is among the 16 Brother Martin Crusader Band members selected, by audition, to participate in the All District Senior High Honor Band.
